These terms govern your use of the Color Picker free color picker tool. By using the service, you agree to them.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Color Picker (the "service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. The service

The service lets you pick colors from images you load and copy or download color values and palettes. It is provided free of charge and runs in your browser. You can read how it works in our color picking guide.

3. Your content & responsibility

You are solely responsible for the images you load and the colors you extract. You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to that image, and that picking colors from it does not infringe any third party's rights or violate any law.

4. Acceptable use & prohibited conduct

To keep the service safe and lawful for everyone, you agree not to use it to create, distribute or facilitate any of the following:

Illegal content, or content that promotes illegal activity, violence, terrorism or self-harm.
Harassment, hate speech, threats, bullying, or content that is defamatory or invades privacy.
Fraud, scams, phishing, spam, or other misleading communications.
Impersonation of any person or organization, or content designed to deceive others about its source.
Sexual content involving minors, or any exploitation of children.
Malware, or attempts to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, scrape or gain unauthorized access to the service.
Infringement of copyright, trademark, or other intellectual-property or contractual rights.
Any use that violates applicable local, national or international law.

We reserve the right to restrict or block access to anyone who misuses the service, to the extent technically possible.

5. Reporting abuse

If you become aware of any abusive, illegal or harmful use of the service, please report it to us right away at:

We review reports and take appropriate action, which may include cooperating with law enforcement where required.

6. Intellectual property & open source

The service is built with free and open-source web technology, each under its own license. We respect those licenses. Learn about color formats on our color formats page. The site's own name, branding and layout remain the property of their respective owners.

7. No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular feature or output quality will always be available.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Color Picker and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service or any content you generate with it.

9. Changes & termination

We may update these terms or modify, suspend or discontinue the service at any time. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
