Color Picker is a free color picker tool that runs in your browser. This policy explains what we do | and mostly do not | collect.

The short version: Your colors are picked locally, inside your own browser. We do not upload, store or sell the images you load, and we do not require an account. You can pick colors on our free color picker tool without sharing personal information.

1. Your text stays on your device

All color picking happens client-side in your browser. The images you load are processed locally and is not transmitted to our servers, logged, or shared. The color values and palettes you create stay on your device and are only saved if you choose to download them. Learn more on our color picker page.

2. Information we collect

We aim to collect as little as possible. Depending on how the site is hosted, the following limited data may be involved:

Fonts & scripts: fonts and scripts are downloaded from third-party content delivery networks (CDNs). Those providers may receive your IP address and standard request information as part of delivering the files.
Local browser storage: your interface preferences (such as your last-used settings) are cached in your browser so the tool loads faster. This data never leaves your device and you can clear it at any time.
Optional analytics: if analytics are enabled, they run only with your consent and collect aggregate, non-identifying usage statistics. Consent defaults to denied until you opt in.

3. What we do not do

We do not sell your data, build advertising profiles, require sign-up, or store the images you load. We do not access your microphone or camera.

4. Cookies

The core tool works without advertising or tracking cookies. Any non-essential cookies (for example, optional analytics) are only set after you give consent, and you can withdraw consent at any time through your browser settings.

5. Third-party services

We rely on open-source software and public CDNs to deliver fonts and assets. Those third parties have their own privacy practices, which we do not control. The open-source projects involved are explained on our color formats overview.

6. Children's privacy

The service is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Your rights

Because we do not maintain accounts or store your images, there is generally no personal data for us to retrieve or delete. You remain in full control of any palettes you download, and you can clear cached preferences from your browser at any time.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "last updated" date above.
